«Dance of Garlic Arrows», 2022

Garlic shoots are one of the most complex, but interesting characters of my bas-reliefs. Their size and shape are unpredictable, depending on the strength of the plant, weather conditions and the degree of its maturity. Therefore, «garlic» bas-reliefs are always different. This panel is made in a minimalist style, the garlic shoots seem to have been created for it. Elegant, textured and self-sufficient. The work is made using the technique of artistic casting on the imprints of living plants. I work intuitively, all my bas-reliefs are improvisation, although well prepared. It’s like jazz!Botanical jazz) It is important for me to show not just the beauty of the moment, but to convey the natural, unique architecture of plants. To arouse interest, make you look at the details, admire the variety of plant forms and simply admire their aesthetic perfection… This is what I always strive for when starting a new work.
