The Nikolai Durasov mansion which houses the HSE administrative building is an object of cultural heritage and keeps many secrets. However, access to the building is generally restricted. In order for everyone to get acquainted with the history of the estate, the university together with students launched an web portal that will help to learn more about the owners and the building’s roles in various years, as well as to see the unique photographs of its historical interiors.

In addition to interesting archive documents and photographs that were found during the implementation of the project, an audio guide with a map is posted on the portal. It will describe in detail various spaces of the house: the front staircase, dancing halls and dining rooms as well as the artefacts remaining since the XIXth century. What the central atrium was used for, where the performances of the famous Durasov serf theatre took place and where the most spectacular view of Moscow is opening from — all this can be learned visiting the portal and listening to the audio guide.
