«Aggressing walls and not listening to anything that others say,» defines its main creative principle as the young artist Nastya Livadnov, who specializes in a variety of performance practices, as is said to be her difficult classification of work by curators. The 22-year-old Rostov-on-Donu, Nastya graduated from the School of Design last year, and by all the standards of «artistic career», this year can be considered a good start (i.e. two years, if you look back from Nastya’s first exhibition, «Bunny parents, go to the director» in the workshops of the Foundation for the Modern Art of Sphere in the autumn of 2021).

Then there was a graduation, a diploma, a grant from the Modern Art Foundation Cosmoscow, and in March of this year, a joint project called Play in Milk with a senior loaner, painter Sergei Sapozhnikov, in the XL gallery, which is in itself a fact of artistic biography for a young artist.

The term «youth painter» for Livadnova needs to be understood in its entirety in terms of meanings and shades, as both the insiders of modern art (with the sign plus) and its disbelievers (with the minus). In her work, at the same time or in her choice, you can see: insolence, intuition («in my case, intuition becomes a cuticula clinging to one object and feeling all the space around it»), narcissism (according to Naste, she had an insight when a student friend told her about a training project on autoportra, through which to see and express her personality; since then she has been building her work around herself, and autoportra are one of their essential characteristics);
