Dreams are often blurry, disjointed, and even absurd, expressing an illogical experience.
When you wake up, you might still remember the outline of the door, but its more specific details have become blurred.
For example, what surrounds this door?
Have you ever had a similar dream experience? After waking up, what is the thing you find hard to forget, and how does it make you feel?
Therefore, during the shoot, I chose to capture the same object from different angles.
In my process
● Integrated images from different angles into a single composition.
● Applied the art of collage.
● Desaturated the colors of the image.
● Emphasized the main subject, making it the focal point.
The characteristics of dreams: Objects in dreams are often vague and disjointed, with time and space appearing illogical. The photo conveys this surreal sense of «disorder» through the contrast between the colorful patterns in the foreground and the black-and-white architecture in the background.
Visual language: The vibrant colors of the patterns resemble particularly vivid fragments in a dream, while the black-and-white background symbolizes the hazy, unclear aspects of the dream.
