Katya Truth
The artist in her life, always in the line of duty, only picks up on her phone. Art for her is an elementary daily practice, like making morning coffee or gymnastics for someone. Hence her generosity (new works appear in Instagram literally every day) and her instant sincerity, an inherent online platform feeling «here and now.»
I. Heroin
Catino art is visual, democratic. The compositions of which it is made are in themselves good and pleasant — petals of flowers, branches, stones, vegetables, mushrooms. But the next thing you do, you’re gonna get a gambling inside of your body with a glue for your eyelashes: the shapes of someone you know start to ruffle, and then there’s another thing going on.
It is not an accident for Katya, who grew up surrounded by gardens, flowers and trees, animals and houses where doors were not used to close. Many can remember chamomile fingernails or earlashes made of bells, buried «secretics» and, in general, a child’s state of careful gaze into natural, darn, forest.

Simplicity of components in Katin doesn’t make it easier to deliver — it’s the democraticness of the medium, not the content. Beauty and clarity turn out to be enveloping chemicals. Katya’s composite method was based on a variety of materials and read: «If you have an error, you have to turn it into a system.»
