Before we started working on the poster series, we decided which theatre we were going to create it for — the image of the cultural institution had to determine the nature of the poster, its tone. I decided to invent an institution and pushed away from the existing street theater genre with all the accompanying historical prototypes, and then reconstructed them.
As a result, the concept was formulated: [The Precinct] is a mobile theatre that travels through southern cities and organizes performances in the courtyards, both residential and abandoned.

Examples of locations: Yalta / Tbilisi / Simferopol / Erevan /......................................................................................................
The chip of the theater is that it does not ignore the urban context, but instead says hello to the city, enters into a dialogue and constantly seeks to defeat it by taking over the existing space. Because the theatre is mobile, its main tone is dynamicity, variability and flexibility. The context of the poster is changing regularly, which means that a system is needed that optimizes the process of learning the city through poster language.
It is most logical to create a system that will work at the expense of two parts: constant and dynamic. The first remains unchanged from the poster to the poster, signals belonging to a particular theatre, and the second is constantly changing, responding to everything in the shape of the city.
So, in my case, the core of the system is a printing frame that swings from a poster to a poster. It is rigid and dense, thus creating a clear visual perimeter of the sheet. The second element is the very central part of the poster, which changes each time. It may be: a collage collected from artifacts found on the street / an element of street art / the whole surface of the wall / an entire yard.
So here’s the typology of the posters: 1. The frame is conditional 2. The frame is literal 3. The frame is space 4. Art object frame
The frame is literal.
Spatial frame
As the poster expands in space, it becomes a fanzonal event and theatre at the same time.
